Assessment:

Once you have contacted me to discuss your child's needs, an initial assessment can be arranged and I will visit you at your home or within your child's educational setting.  Initial assessments will take 60 - 90 minutes and may consist of formal assessment, informal assessment or both.  In some cases, a further assessment session may be needed to gather all the required information.

The assessment fee includes a written report.  Verbal feedback will also be provided and therapy will be recommended where appropriate.

You may have already been seen by your local NHS Speech and Language Therapy Service.  It is important to liaise with other professionals involved with your child in order to provide the best possible service.  Your permission will always be sought before liaising with other professionals.

Therapy:

Therapy targets are based on assessment findings, discussions with parents and educational staff where appropriate.  Therapy sessions are offered at home or at your child's school/nursery.  Discussion and feedback to parents/staff,  preparation time and cost of materials are all included in the price of therapy sessions.

Training:

I also offer a range of training packages for schools and nurseries around many areas of speech and language development, strategies and advice. Please see my schools page for more information.
